I down graded my computer software now I don’t have any audio driver files. Can any one tell me how to get a free driver download for my audio files? I cant Believe this has happened. Thanks Microsoft.
It’s very rare that a company will make you pay money to download driver files. The company already gets the money when you buy the hardware. To find it just go to your audio drivers manufacturers website and search the website hard and you can download it for free.
OK, so I have a Mac, and I need some suggestions for what kind of programs I can use to edit audio for use in video. Now, I’m using Final Cut Pro at the moment, but its more of a video editing program than an audio program. I’ve heard Soundtrack Pro is decent, but I don’t have it. Any suggestions?

I am planning to re-do my new car’s audio system. Currently it sucks! It has two speakers and a tape player. I want to put in a good sound system with about four speakers and a car audio mp3 player with a thing to play off ipods and so forth. What should I get, im thinking around the 75-100w ? and I am particularly interested in what kind of car audio I should get JVC? Kenwood? A specific model would be good! any suggestions much appreciated.

I need to record music onto a digital camera for editing. I can’t upload the audio file because the software I’m using won’t let me. Right now I’m just recording the sound coming from the monitor speakers, but the quality isn’t very good.
I’m thinking of soldering a mono headphone jack to an AV in/out audio cable so I can plug the digital camera into the headphone socket. Is that a good idea?
All of the computers I have owned have had a line output jack on the sound card. A patch cord from the computer line out to your camera should work great if your camera accepts analog audio.
My band had recorded a performance and we are interested in using the audio as a demo. However, none of us know how to transfer from the tape to the computer, and if we make it that far, how to extract only the audio. Then we would need to somehow convert the files to mp3. Any ideas? Thanks.
Which tape camcorder?
Digital8 and MiniDV are digital tape formats that connect to your computer with a firewire cable between the DV port on the camcorder and the firewire port on the computer to import the video and the audio.
VHS-C, VHS, Beta, Hi8 and others are analog – to transfer the video and audio to your computer, you need a capture card or analog/digital converter from Pinnacle (Dazzle) or Canopus (ADVC55).
If all you want is the audio and do not need the video, ALL camcorders come with an AV cable that you would normally use to connect the camcorder to a TV to watch the playback. Instead of connecting to a TV, connect the audio RCA jacks to your computer’s mic jack – you will need an RCA female to 1/8" (3.5mm) adapter. Some camcorders are mono-audio; most newer ones do stereo. (so adjust the RCA female side of the adapter to have two).
