R.Estevan – Chicharra Karts Villena

Paranoia or jolly good security?

June 52010

Posted in cc 270 | 2 Comments »

As everybody is aware, Britannia faces her biggest challenge to national security since the abolition of corporal punishment……. THE KOREANS. For this reason I spend at least 14 hours of each and every day manning the watch tower at Clap trap castle effectively surveying the surrounding hills for suspicious activity. Armed with my trusty binoculars I have devised a 27 point observational checkpoint routine designed to detect the enemy at the earliest possible opportunity. I have 5 telephone hot lines connected and ready to deliver the first reports of the Koreans compromising The Yorkshire Dales to all relevant government offices.. I also have 270 remote controlled IEDs strategically placed at the most militarily advantageous positions in the hills ready to provide significant opposition to any advance into Clap trap Valley. I have also very carefully placed 588 land mines at the foot of the hillsides to greet any determined invaders who make it past the IEDS. oops, make that 587 ( there goes another cow) The turret also contains 3500 hand grenades, 15 bazookas, 3 missile launchers and a flame thrower. Lady Bumwobble Visited last evening to rescue her scorched nightmare of a cat Tiddles from the Clap trap well ( no idea how it arrived there!) and in her infinite wisdom did cast unfounded dispersions upon my efforts to protect us from a merciless eastern army intent on rape, pillage and baby burning. The dim battle axe actually accused me of "paranoia" and suggested that a CC TV system would be an adequate deterrent! Does this Bombastic blubber bubble honestly believe that if Hitler had faced CC TV in the Check republic it all could have been different what? So I ask the question, is it Really paranoia or Jolly good security?

I’d say its more an ultra-vivid imagination, a totally wacky sense of humor and a large dose of creativity which, when combined together, contributes to a whole heap of general poppycock :)

Lol.

which amp do you recommend from this list?

http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/CompareTo.aspx?g=347050&cc=01&compareItems=01|777M4050&compareItems=01|777M4075&compareItems=01|777M4100&compareItems=01|675FRP4004&compareItems=01|500MRPF300&compareItems=01|108R475A&compareItems=01|136J23204&compareItems=01|130GM6400F

I have an eclipse 6 channel receiver

I have Alpine sps 600 coaxes in the rear
(2-80 rms) 240 peak

and infinity kappa 60.9cs components in front
(2-90 rms) (270 peak)

I have a separate monoblock amp for subs.

I am going for mainly reliability and ease of use.

If the max rms is 80 rms, would it be easy to blow them out if I run an amp that is rated for 70 rmsx4? or is it all ok as long as the rms rating on the amp, per speaker, doesn’t exceed the speaker max rms?
Thanks!
Alex

I’m thinking of getting the same component for my car. I’m thinking of getting the kicker 350.4; I’ve also heard that the alpine f300 is a pretty good buy.

Also crutchfield is really expensive I would go to cartoys to get that system. Cartoys is an authorized vendor so Infinity will uphold its warranty.

this is the one i would go with http://www.crutchfield.com/p_108R475A/Infinity-Reference-475a.html?tp=35782

any amp can blow any speaker– its all about the setting at the amp

If you send too much power to your speaker, you risk damaging it. The cone of the speaker and the mechanical parts that make it move may break under the stress. Surprisingly, too little power can also damage your speaker — in fact, it’s actually more common than damage caused by overpowering.
When the volume is turned up and the amp doesn’t have enough power, the signal becomes distorted, or "clipped." This distorted signal can cause parts of the speaker to overheat, warp and melt. Not good!
You don’t have to match speaker and amp wattages exactly. An amp with a higher output than the speaker’s rating won’t necessarily damage the speaker — just turn the amp down a bit if you hear distortion from the sub and don’t run the speaker at extremely loud volumes for lengthy periods. Likewise, you’ll be OK with a lower powered amp if you keep the volume down and don’t feed a distorted signal to the speaker
you will send the amp into clipping
Clipping
Clipping occurs when an amplifier is asked to deliver more current to a speaker than the amp is capable of doing. When an amplifier clips, it literally cuts off the tops and bottoms of the musical waveforms that it’s trying to reproduce, thus the term. This introduces a huge amount of distortion into the output signal. Clipping can be heard as a crunching sound on musical peaks.
that causes distorted sound which will damage your speakers

to maximize clean signal strength from your amp, you need to adjust the gain or input sensitivity settings. Here’s how:
Set the input sensitivity controls of your amplifier to their minimum level (counter clockwise).
Put in a CD and turn the receiver’s volume control up (you might have to raise the amp’s gain just a bit to hear the music).
When you hear distortion, stop. Turn the volume down until it disappears. As much signal as possible is passing from the receiver to the amp. This maximizes the signal-to-noise ratio, and leaves your system less prone to engine noise problems. Keep the volume setting here.
Now turn the gain controls on the amplifier up until it’s as loud as you’ll play it. If you hear distortion, slightly decrease the gain settings.
Now you’ve optimized the amp’s output with the receiver’s volume set near maximum. You can turn the volume almost all the way up and not damage your speakers or amplify distortion.

Can i go pro at Golf? Realistically.?

Im 15 years old with a 3.5 gpa and have been golfing for 9 months. My handicap is currently a 5 at my country club, and yes, im very natural at the game. I drive about 270 and hit my irons far and pure. Im only 5′10”, 145 but i hit it far. I also play on my HIGH SCHOOL time and we are top 5 in SOUTHERN CAL. Im going to play more tournaments this year for SCPGA (about 20+). Since i practice everyday at my CC, do i have a good shot at going pro if im a + handicap within 1-2 years?
My clubs:
TMADE R9, Burner fairways, Titleist AP2s, Tmade wedges, Scotty Cameron putter.

realistically going pro in 1-2 years say dropping out of high school like sean o’hair i would say is a long shot. especially with the financial trouble that would put u in. deffinetly keep in high school, keep playing for ur team and get lessons o na consistent basis fro ma pga professional. getting steady lessons will improve ur game greatly and even the pros have coaches. if u got that much money really invested in clubs i would imagine u got around 3 grand there invested then that shows u really want to excel at the game but remember there r lots of kids like u and that is y u need to get to college on a good golf team, and show the entire country what ur made of. get ur high school to some state championships and share ur knowledge with ur teamates and help them get better bc in the long run that will only open more doors for u. if u can get ur school to wi na state title in golf ur assured to get into a good college and if u could win a national title with ur college then well ur almost a garunteed top 100 pga player. but even tiger went to college and played in europe for a little while b4 getting onto the pga tour so u have some time left before its a real chance, but u r lookign good thus far keep it going.
