Forget how much …
Forget how much excursion the woofer has and how long it can take 2000w rms, why buy a woofer with no SQ. When you buy a sub you are going to listen to music and Aluminum cones do not cut it when it comes to music. I bet when you play the woofer at a high volumes it sounds very sluggish.

Must have good lows with all that excursion..
Would have expected more power though.. only 2000rms & 4000max?
Atomics have a lot more power handling than that being a competition woofer.

this guy does not know what he is doing. You see the holes on the bottom of the motor, they are copying atomic loudspeakers. Thats why it handles more power than the competition, Atomics technology is called Vented magnetic gap technology, the patent expired a couple years ago now you see everyone using it. If you want a real woofer buy ATOMIC LOUDSPEAKERS.

the 15 is the same …
the 15 is the same watts as the 12 and yes it slams mine makes my steering wheel shake with only a crunch p 1500.need to get my other amp fixed

to clear up things …
to clear up things i have a hcca 12.2.i had it hooked up to a power acoustik lfa 5500 bd and it did not blow the sub!!! the amp did fail though! get it replaced.power acoustik amps are over rated.3,200 my if u figure it out it can do about 2 k rms.and by the way these subs pound.the amp did work good though.questions ask me.

These subs are unbeatable, I have a 10.2 in a .9 cu ft sealed enclosure using a hertz HP1D to power it along with a Kinetic HC-600 (more than 100 farads). Very very loud and clean.
